Cancer Survivor Receives A Gift From Home Depot
Everywhere you look in Kerry Comer’s St. George home the decorations have a story to tell.
The latest addition to her home décor brings emotion to her voice when she considers the kindness of strangers from Home Depot helping her in her time of need.
It all started when Comer had to sell her home and rent it back from the new owner in order to make ends meet with all of her medical bills. Wanting to show the new homeowner that she was dedicated to maintaining the home, she looked into new window treatments for the three main windows in the kitchen and living room area. When she called Home Depot for a price bid, the woman answering the phone directed her to the operations manager for the Home Depot on Sunset Boulevard in St. George and he assembled a team of volunteers to take on the Comer’s project — free of charge.
